June 2010 update:

‘Delami Destiny’ model painted by Simon Jameson
My sculptures are now being painted for me by Simon Jameson,
and I’m really pleased by the high quality of his work, which is being much admired. Simon studied Fine Art at Brighton Polytechnic and
has a website at www.1066creations.co.uk

Carwed Charmer
The limited edition model of Carwed Charmer is now in full production and proving to be very popular, so early ordering is recommended.
Two are already on their way to Australia!

The new model of a Section A mare and foal will be ready by mid July. We’re planning to produce this in two basic colour schemes, grey and chestnut. It can also be painted as a portrait of a particular mare and
foal for an additional charge.. Please let me know as soon as possible
if you want one for collection at the Royal Welsh Show 2010.
This is a limited edition of just fifty, so early ordering is recommended. Pictures to follow shortly.

Both the models of the Highland Pony and Eyarth Rio are now
completely sold out. I’m delighted to report that the Highland model raised approximately £5,000 for the Equine Grass Sickness Fund,
due partly to a successful raffle for number 1 of the edition. I’m hoping to produce another model for the EGSF before too long.

I am a lifelong National Hunt enthusiast, so it was a great thrill to
meet Miko de Beauchene in May 2008 at Robert and Sally Alner’s
yard in Dorset. Miko won the Welsh Grand National in 2007.
At 17.2 hh he is a tad larger than my usual Welsh pony subjects!
However he was really gentle and well mannered, despite having
his summer holiday interrupted by a strange woman with
a tape measure……
Sue and I donated number 2 of the edition of 5 to the
Robert Alner Fund, for which I’m delighted to say it raised £500.

A new model of a Thoroughbred with bridle is now available.
The first one of these was presented as a racing trophy at
Wetherby in December to the connections of Punjabi, the winner of
the Fighting Fifth Hurdle.

The
EGSF Highland Pony is now in full production and selling well.
It is limited to 50 in total and priced at £135, of which £20 is donated
to the Equine Grass Sickness Fund (click here
for more information).
In
February 2008, the EGSF commemorated its first 20 years with
a reception at the Moredun , near Edinburgh, at which its patron
HRH the Princess Royal was present. I was thrilled to be invited,
along with other fund-raisers, to be presented to her Royal Highness.
It was a most enjoyable afternoon and I took the opportunity to deliver
number 1 of the edition of 50 Highland Pony models to the Fund. Extraordinary
to think that it all started, for me, on a wet October day
in 1989 at Newtown Horse Sale with the purchase of a threadbare
little yearling….

The
model of Eyarth Rio is selling exceptionally well, with several
going to Europe and three to California. I would anticipate that this
edition will be completely sold out by the end of this year, so early
booking is advisable if you want to purchase one.

I was delighted to be commissioned to model the great
Penual Mark,
one of the most influential Section A stallions of
recent years.
This is his portrait at the plasticene stage.
See the Limited Editions
page for the finished article.

I
have just completed the first model in my new range of
one-fifth
scale heads. This is the Welsh Cob, based on my own Ystradfellte
Dewi.
A driving version will shortly be available.
See the Heads and Trophies
page for the finished model.
